Pauline first enjoyed music at age 7 in rural Queensland, playing the recorder in a marching band. She still plays the recorder and is in a recorder consort.
For a decade Pauline played the flute in the bush band Diamantina, and also took up the clarinet.
Pauline has continued to add to her music skills - attending the Australian Institute of Music and completing a Diploma in Studio Teaching in 2000, completing a combined Bachelor Degree of Music and Music Education at UNSW, undertaking the AMEB piano level exams and is completing course work for a Kodaly Primary School Music Accreditation.
She currently divides her time between teaching music in the classroom, tutoring junior bands and ensembles and private instrumental teaching.
She believes that people of any age can experience the joy of playing or participating in music.
Pauline still plays for fun in a duo called Flute D'Amour, a local brass band and a recorder consort.
