Bradley Newman
Bradley began playing piano for dance classes in 1988 with the Ann Roberts' School of Dancing in
Townsville, North Queensland.
He remained there for six years, being fortunate to learn from some very experienced pianists and teachers.
It was here while spending his eighteenth birthday playing for tap and modern exams that Bradley met
Miss Gapps, who was examining at the time.
After moving to CitySydney in 1995, he began playing regularly for the Harlow School of Dance,
originally at the Uniting Church in Lugarno. He has played for the school almost continuously since
that time and currently plays for weekly classes at Jump St.
As well as dance accompaniment, Bradley has played professionally in a wide variety of situations,
including the first Sydney production of Miss Saigon and an Asian tour of Les Miserables.
He has also played unprofessionally on The Footy Show, and Hey Hey It's Saturday's Red Faces.
Bradley is also a teacher of the Alexander Technique and teaches at various locations throughout Sydney,
including the clinic at Jump St.
