ABOUT US
Established in 1955 by June Harlow (as the first dance school in the St George area),
HARLOW SCHOOL OF DANCE offer classes and private tuition in classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and tap, with a focus on strong technique and high energy performances. Additional classes include Drama, Acrobatics, Jump Rope and Pilates.
Previously classes were held at Penshurst, however late in 2004 we moved into our fabulous studio location at 35 Treacy Street, Hurstville known as ‘Jump St.'
The Principals; June Harlow and Sue O'Riordan danced professionally for many years and together with their teaching staff continue to pass on their expertise, knowledge and pure passion for dance.
Our Policy is to provide a safe, educational and recreational environment for all ages. Our well supervised classes are taught by qualified and experienced teachers in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere.
The Teaching Staff at HARLOW SCHOOL OF DANCE are qualified members of the following associations.
All examinations are conducted by these nationally and internationally recognised organisations:-
 The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) for Classical Ballet
 The Federal Association of Teachers of Dancing (FATD) for Jazz, and Tap
 The Broken Beat Dance Syllabus (BBDS) for Hip Hop
 Contemporary Dance Australia (CDA)
 Creative Drama and Movement Association (CDMA Intl)
